Our Trip To Kansas

You've not experienced life until you try to take 2 kids and a 5 week old on a long car trip.   We're glad that we divided the trip into two days.   Grandpa was glad his PRIUS got 58 miles per gallon.  I was impressed though our van got about 24!

Everything up here in Hiawatha is GREEN.   So green I told my mother-in-law.. I just want to go jump in the grass and pretend to make snow angels!   Everyone seems to be cutting grass regularly up here.   I don't think I've cranked the mower all season at home.

We're getting used to the old Kansas way of life.   Grandma's house isn't up to code electrical or plumbing wise.   You take a shower... litterally in a closet.   All the plugs are not grounded so even as I type this it was a challege to plug in.     The toilets...  well you know.     The kids are having a ball because there is little traffic on the road and the backyard is pretty infinate with no fences.

I took a 30 minute walk this morning towards Walmart.   Corn growing in the fields by the neighborhood. 66 degrees and I can't tell you how green everything is.
